In the heart of the Welsh Valleys you’ll find the charming Little Crown Inn, situated on the site of the old Elled Level drift mine.
We’re a family run business and have owned the Little Crown Inn for over ten years, building the business up from a traditional pub into the thriving bar, restaurant and accommodation that it is today.
Our restaurant is well established and offers a mouth-watering selection of locally sourced, home cooked food, seven days a week. Whether it’s an intimate dinner for two, a sit down meal for 50 or a buffet for 100, we can cater for your needs.
In 2014 we finally opened our Visit Wales graded 4* accommodation, boasting five, beautifully finished, ensuite rooms. As we are set in an area steeped in history, we have embraced our heritage and each room has been named after a local colliery. As our research continues, the rooms will be decorated with pictures and stories of their namesakes, hopefully making for a uniquely interesting stay! The theme is being continued throughout the bar and restaurant and we even have our own “mine shaft” corridor!
In the pub we sport a pool table, dart board and gaming machine as well as Sky Sports on multiple TVs and free Wi-Fi throughout. If you decide to visit South Wales, you will not be short of things to do and see. There are plenty of tourist attractions in the local area, including many castles, St Fagan’s (the Museum of Welsh Life) and perhaps the most noteworthy, “Big Pit”, where you can take a trip below ground down a real mine shaft! Being so close to the Brecon Beacons National Park, we are ideally located for cyclists and walkers/ramblers, whilst being perfectly located for business connections into Newport, Cardiff, Bristol and the Valleys.
